i want my childhood back. who robbed us of that innocents? when life was perfect and your biggest worries is talking to that girl you like. grades weren't a worry and home work was a breeze, you didn't have to work 3 jobs and struggle to survive. the world wasn't being destroyed ignorantly by the pollution we created. starving children and child solider's in Africa was a myth. and war was only something in the past, something we had over came. it was all so perfect. and it left so soon.
There's seems to be too much truth in "ignorance is bliss". and once you have lost that ignorance life is never as peaceful. you cant bring it back. the knowledge of the word attacks your peace, devours it like a venom. turns your vision black and all you see is the cold world we life in.
oh what i would give to be ignorant. to believe in god and now that i have spot in heaven. to drive my SUV with no knowledge of ozone depletion. with no ambitions to make a difference.........but there is no going back.(short of smoking your self comotose, which doesn't last long enough) once you have opened your eyes there is no closing them. your to horrified to look away. like an accident on the high way. its repulsive, but you cant take your eyes of the horrific scene.
yet so many people live there lives with there eyes sown shut. and Christianity is eager to do the stitching.
a blind man can lead a flock. but who can lead a blind flock?
